Bedrooms and bathrooms
Kingfisher Cottage is a 3 bedroom house (1 downstairs and 2 upstairs). All rooms are equipped with high quality memory foam mattresses, pure cotton linen and air conditioning to ensure that you get a comfortable and restful nights sleep. The bathrooms are supplied with towels, soaps and shampoo.
The main bedroom (downstairs) has a king-sized bed and en-suite bathroom with a full sized- bath and outdoor shower. The bedroom opens up directly onto the deck.
The upstairs area of the house is open-plan and consists of 2 bedrooms separated by a sitting room. One of the bedrooms has a queen-sized bed and the other has two single beds. The upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom with shower.

Entertainment and connectivity
Kingfisher Cottage is set up to “work from home” with high speed fibre internet connectivity. In addition to grid power the house has solar and a backup battery system with inverter ensuring that you can continue to be productive even in the event of a power failure.
The lounge is equipped with a 55” OLED TV and Apple TV which includes access to DSTV, Netflix, AppleTV +, Showmax and Amazon Prime.
Outdoor facilities and exercise
Kingfisher Cottage has a spacious deck with a dining room table for outdoor dining. The plunge pool offers a welcome respite from the hot Lowveld summers.
There is also a lapa / fire pit for braaing and socialising around the fire so be sure to stock up on firewood and charcoal for your stay.
As the Wildlife Estates is not a big five reserve you are free to explore the roads and trails so pack your running shoes and mountain bike. Care should be taken at dawn and dusk as leopard are regularly seen in the estate.

For longer stays there is a washing machine and clothes line to wash and dry clothes.
Coffee and tea is provided free of charge for all guests of Kingfisher Cottage.

Nearby attractions
The closest gates for self drives into the world famous Kruger National Park are Orpen (70km) and Phalaborwa (80km).
Directly across the road from Kingfisher Cottage is the Pridelands game reserve which is a “Big 5” reserve and forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Morning and afternoon game drives into Pridelands can be arranged directly with Pridelands with collection from Kingfisher Cottage.
Other attractions in the area include Blyde River Canyon, Bourkes Luck Potholes, Pilgrim’s Rest, Graskop and Mariepskop.
